This Fried Green Tomato Club Sandwich is one of the best club sandwiches ever made. Plus the Sabra Spreads with Hummus – Garlic and Herb give it an awesome kick of flavor!
This recipe was sponsored by Sabra but all opinions are mine 🙂
When we use to live out in the county there was a little store down the road from us that had the best club sandwiches. Ok, let me be honest here, it wasn’t a store. It was a gas station. A gas station in the boonies that just happened to have a kitchen.
Although it was a little gas station out in the middle of no where, it was the closet place to us that sold food. Well and sometimes when you’re broke (which we were at the time) and you live that far from town, well, sometimes you eat dinner from the gas station.
However, with those dinners from the store, came my love of club sandwiches. I fell in love with them.
Now add my love for fried green tomatoes and Sabra, and oh my now we’re talking about the PERFECT club sandwich.
You see, Sabra just launched a few new products and I can’t wait to tell you about them! They’re called Sabra Spreads with hummus and they’re amazing. When I went to Richmond back in July, I was able to visit the Sabra factory and got to taste test the new spreads!
Y’all I know this Sabra Spreads with Hummus is for spreading like on sandwiches and stuff but I literally just want to dip pita chips into it and eat it as is! haha.
I fell in love with the Garlic Herb spread and immediately dreamed up the Fried Green Tomato Club Sandwich.
So I got to work on it! I had everything I needed, except a green tomato. I haven’t been to the farmer’s market in a while because I’ve been out of town on Saturday mornings lately so I was out of luck.
Until my dad came to the rescue and grew me a green tomato just for this post. Thanks Diddy! <3 haha If you need tips on frying up green tomatoes, I’ve got a whole post on frying them up.
With my Sabra spreads and green tomato in hand, I got to work on making my dream club sandwich.
Sabra spreads come in there three flavor:
- Garlic Herb
- Honey Mustard
- Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper
There are three different Sabra spreads to choose from, anyone of them would be wonderful but you know I went with the garlic.
Spread it generously onto each slice of bread before building the ultimate, fried green tomato club sandwich.
Then pile the club sandwich high with Swiss cheese, crispy bacon, romaine lettuce, American cheese, oven roasted turkey and homegrown fried green tomatoes.
(Homegrown or Farmer’s Market Tomatoes haha)
Now, once you’ve filled it with everything you want, cut the sandwich into quarters and enjoy the most wonderful club sandwich ever.
Your tastebuds will thank you!
