{  Green and Gold Vases  }
( St. Patrick’s Day )

I don’t normally decorate a lot for St. Patrick’s Day, it’s just not a big day for me. I’ve never had green beer either. It’s a shame. I should have green beer at least once right? I may change that this year. After all I’ll be at Disney World in a few days and I do believe they have an Irish Pub in Downtown Disney 😉

But since I do have a little Irish in me, I wanted something small to decorate the house with to represent St. Patrick’s Day.

That’s where these easy Green and Gold Vases come in. They’re simple to make, and if you have the items on hand, they are pretty much free.

Plus I had some buttercups in the yard that were just screaming to be picked 😉

Green and Gold Vases { St. Patrick’s Day }

(Printable Directions Here)

What you need:

Glass Bottles (I used the Starbucks ones)
Green and Gold Glitter (Dollar Store)
Pledge “with future shine” floor cleaner

What to do:

Clean bottles and remove all labels.

Once bottles are dry, pour a little of the floor cleaner into the bottle and shake it around to make sure the entire inside is covered.

Pour out excess liquid.

Pour in glitter and shake. (Use lid of bottle or a folded paper towel to cover opening.

Pour out excess glitter.

That’s it. Easy, glitter vases.

    Angie,
    Is the vase able to tolerate water for the flowers…or does the glitter come off the sides of the glass?
    They are very pretty!
    Thank you,
    Marisa

      Hey Marisa,

      The way their made there they can’t have water in them just as is, but I just like the way they look and just plopped some little flowers down in there right before we set them out. You can do this to a larger vase though and put a smaller one down inside of it with water for the flowers 🙂

Meet Angie

I love the Farmer’s Market and Farm to Table meals but I’m also not ashamed to use canned vegetables and baking mixes. It’s all about balance! I’m so glad y’all are here!
