I grew up eating a lot of cereal for breakfast and that love of cereal in the mornings carried on over into my adult life. While I don’t go for the colorful cereals that my 5 year old self would have gone crazy over, we do still stock the pantry with cereal. Which makes it pretty easy to make this Healthy Granola Cereal Recipe whenever I want it.
I personally this granola as a cereal but our toddler loves it on top of his favorite vanilla and honey yogurt.
What you’ll need for Healthy Granola Cereal Recipe:
- Cheerios
- Chex Cereal
- Bran Cereal or Raisin Bran
- Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
- Almond Slivers
- Pecan Halves
- Honey
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Olive Oil
How to make Healthy Granola Cereal Recipe:
This granola recipe is so simple to toss together! Start my preheating the oven to 350F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat.
Combine Cheerios, Chex Cereal, Bran Cereal or Raisin Bran , Oats, Almond Slivers and Pecan Halves in a large bowl. In a in a small bowl, combine Honey, Cinnamon , Vanilla extract and Olive Oil. Whisk together.
Pour over cereal mixture. Toss to combine and coat the cereal. Pour into a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper or a silicon mat.
Bake for 30 minutes, tossing half way through.
Remove from oven and let cool completely. Store in an air tight container for up to 1 month.
Use in as cereal, to top yogurt or just as a snack.
The best part about this granola is that you can customize it to make it perfect for you! Change out the cereals, leave out the almonds and pecans or add in other treats!
Change the nuts to walnuts or change them to peanuts.
Once the granola is cooled you can also add in things like mini chocolate chips, dried fruit or chocolate M&MS to make a trail mix.
