I use to work in an ice cream shop and I absolutely loved it. It was one of my first Summer jobs and it was just right up my alley. I loved making ice cream cones and working to make them look perfect. So when I wanted to try to make these ice cream cone cupcakes I knew that I wanted to make them look as perfect as possible! I love how they turned out!
What you’ll need to make Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes:
- Cupcakes (recipes below)
- White Frosting (recipe below)
- Ice Cream Cones
- Rainbow Sprinkles
- Piping Bag
- Large Star Piping Tip
- Cherries from Cherry Pie Filling, Fresh Cherries or jarred cherries for topping
Let’s make these ice cream cone cupcakes! Also, NO, we’re not baking the cupcakes into the cones. You can totally try that if you want to, I’ve seen it done but I didn’t do it for these.
You’ll need some cupcakes, homemade or store bought will work. Cupcakes from a mix or homemade cupcake will work. If you’re looking for homemade recipes, I have a few for you:
Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe Here OR Vanilla Cupcakes Recipe Here
Smush 1 cupcake into each ice cream cone. If you really want to pack this cone full of cake you can smush 2 cupcakes in there haha.
Fill a piping bag that’s been fitted with a large star tip with frosting.
Pipe layer/ swirls on to tops of cones to look like vanilla ice cream.
Add Sprinkles. Rainbow sprinkles to be exact.
Add a cherry on top.
BOOM! Cupcakes that look like ice cream!
I think that these are so super cute and perfect for summer. I also love the fact that they’re super easy to make and decorate. Plus you can use any flavor cupcake that you want to use with these!
