This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Manwich for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I really forgot how much I liked Manwich. I use to have it a lot when I was growing up. It was a normal thing at our dinner table. But when I got married, I didn’t buy it anymore because my husband can’t eat onions and peppers.
But when I was contacted recently about giving it a try, I was pretty interested in checking it out. I’ve often thought about Manwich when seeing the Manwich TV Ads and childhood memories of sloppy joes. It’s one of those things where I’d see someone post about Sloppy Joes or I’d see an instagram photo of one and think, “Man, lucky!” But that was that because we had kind of determined that onions and peppers were now starting to bother BigBear too much that we didn’t want to risk it.

When my box of Manwich arrived, BigBear was more excited than I was. I told him that I was sorry that he couldn’t have any but I’d invite the family over for Sloppy Joes and I’d make him some homemade Manwich without the onions and peppers. But after reading the backs of the cans he thought he might be able to give it a shot.

We invited some of the family over for dinner and got to work making the Manwich. Which actually doesn’t really take any work at all. I had really forgotten how quick it is to make Sloppy Joes.

All you have to do it brown the hamburger, drain the grease and then add in the Manwich. Make sure that everything is hot and then it’s ready to serve. It might have taken up a whole 15 minutes to make all three cans of Manwich. Now that’s a quick dinner!

My family was more than happy to come over and sample the Manwich flavors that had been sent over. (as well as share some of their favorite Manwich Recipes with us)

We wore our Manwich bibs with smiles as we feasted on Sloppy Joe, baked beans, white cheddar mac and cheese and chips! We had 3 Manwich varieties to sample!

  • Original
  • Bold
  • Thick and Chunky
So who liked what?
  • BigBear, Mom and I enjoyed the Original
  • Dad was a tie between Bold & Thick and Chunky
  • My brother liked the Bold

.

So why am I telling you about our dinner? Well I’m telling you about it for three reasons:

  1. It was really, really good and I wanted to share.
  2. It was so super easy to make, dinner was ready in less than 15 minutes
  3. I have a giveaway for you! You can enter to win a great prize pack from Manwich!

I love the Farmer’s Market and Farm to Table meals but I’m also not ashamed to use canned vegetables and baking mixes. It’s all about balance! I’m so glad y’all are here!
