Welcome back friends who like to cook, friends who like to eat, and friends who just read the blogs and live vicariously through us but still have clean kitchens! No matter where you fit in, we’re tickled to have you here!
We’re in the finally count down for baby bear’s arrival. Well…ok might not be the FINAL count down haha but we’ve got 4 weeks which means that I’m less than a month from my due date and I’m nervous as can be y’all!
So I have a question! If you’re a mom, did you prep and freeze meals for after baby arrived or did you just kind of wing it? We don’t have a lot of freezer space and I’m kind of wondering if I should even attempt it! Let me know your thoughts!
This week’s edition of Meal Plan Monday begins to bring warmer flavors into our kitchens as Fall approaches. We know you’ll find recipes to inspire you and at least a few new favorites to add to your regular rotation.
We would like to add that if you are in the areas of the wildfires, flooding, or hurricanes, our hearts and prayers are with you. Stay safe and take care of your families.
We have some wonderful recipes for you this week so lets start with some popular ones from last week:

Crock Pot Low Carb Lasagna Soup from Beyer Beware

I did make a very few frezzer things. 1-2 meals and a loaf of banana bread. I found that for the most part we either had quick food (sandwhiches, yogurt, fruit, string cheese), ate out, or had people bring us food because they wanted to see/hold the baby. Don’t be afraid to tell people you need time and space with the new baby. The first two weeks plus are a crazy time of recovery, getting to know this new person, how to breast feed (if you are planning to) and for the baby they know nothing of the world yet so its a learning roller coaster for everyone. You are going to do great!!

I made 4 casseroles and quick breads/muffins to freeze and had a list of crockpot meals (with a shopping list for my husband) so that there really wasn’t a lot of thought put into the meals. You’ll need that brain space for other things!!! My husband even made the meals before he went to work so baby and I could sleep.
The above poster is correct. It’s a crazy, lovely time. Make lots of healthy snack foods ahead of time and keep fresh fruit available. If you are sleep-deprived, you can always eat a piece of fruit, have a muffin or a slice of quick bread. I’m so very happy for your family!!
