A classic southern dessert is turned into a wickedly wonderful Halloween treat with this easy Melting Witch Poke Cake!
This post/recipe was created for #HalloweenTreatsWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% mine.
It’s kind of appropriate that we’re watching Hocus Pocus while I work on this post for this Melting Witch Cake. Well, not that any of the witches in Hocus Pocus melt but it’s a witch movie and this is a witch dessert.
It’s October and we’re in full Halloween mode as we celebrate #HalloweenTreatsWeek this week. Today I’m sharing this fun Melting Witch Poke cake because Y’all know I love my Melting Witch Desserts!!
This cake goes perfectly with my Melting Witch Hot Chocolate and Melting Witch Brownies! I’m thinking that we need to have a Melting Witch party one night featuring all types of Melting Witch treats and watch Halloween movies!
That sounds perfect to me!
OK, y’all see those cute witch hats that are on top of this poke cake? They’re so easy to make. I’ve got a post here about how to make them. I’ve used them for all of my melting witch desserts.
Then this cake, well it couldn’t be easier.
You can use the chocolate cake recipe that I have below or you can use a box cake mix! Either will work for this cake.
Oh and that easy Melting Witch topping on the cake? It’s just whipped topping with some green food coloring!
So we’re two days into #HalloweenTreatsWeek – are you loving the recipes? Which one is your favorite so far? Did you enter the giveaway? You should!

I love DIY Halloween decorations too!

I think you should revise your instructions on the Melting Witch Cake. You need to say follow directions on the pudding box or spell it out to boil the mixture on medium heat, stirring constantly until almost thickened.
Angie says
You don’t boil instant pudding

oooo and you could do little santa hats instead of witch hats! I may have to do that!
