Do you sometimes feel like you have to throw out a 5 course spread for dinner? I have totally felt that way before but I just can’t find the time or energy to work that hard on dinner during the week.
Well, If I’m being honest, I don’t have the time or energy for a 5 course spread for dinner any night of the week.
Work is exhausting, y’all and I’m tired in the evenings! I’m not the only one, right?
I don’t know any people that want to come home from work and start into 2 or 3 hours worth of dinner preparations.
If you are one of those people that can work all day and come home to prepare a feast for dinner you’re my hero. Can I come over for dinner?
Thomas is hungry when he gets home from work. I mean normally I can deal with my hunger until dinner is ready but Thomas is all like “I need to eat everything right now because I’m starving right this second!” So he’s asking me what’s for dinner before I can shut my computer down at work and I’m trying to make up something on the spot that’s quick and easy.
You know, something that he’ll want to eat at home, something that’s not going to send him speeding off to the drive-thru before he makes it to the house.
Of course Monday’s are the worst. I have barely pulled myself together enough to make it through the work day, dinner planning isn’t even really happening yet.
Trying to think of an easy meal on the spot at 5pm is kind of hard. Well, it’s hard to think of a meal unless you already know you’re having Mini Manwich Taco Bowls!!
Quick, Easy and 100% Husband Approved! haha
This is how we’re going to handle dinner, ok?
You’re going to need to pre-heat your oven to 350F.
Then you’re going to want to go ahead and layout your wonton wrappers and place them into the cups of a muffin tin to create the “bowls”.
Go ahead and bake them for about 7 or so minutes or until they’re slightly golden.
But please don’t burn them. No one wants a burnt wonton bowl.
Now you’re going to want to go ahead and brown your beef in a medium skillet.
Once the beef is browned, pour in a can of Manwich Original, Manwich Bold or Manwich Thick & Chunky. (we used Manwich Original for these.)
Stir everything really well.
Next, you’re going to fill your wonton cups with this delicious sweet and tangy, hearty sauce!
Be generous but don’t over fill them.
Now, just sprinkle them with a little cheese and pop those beauties back into the oven, put the broiler on high and broil them for about 30 second.
Broil, Baby, Broil!
After about 30 second of cheese melting heaven, take them out and let them cool slightly.
Then you can eat them just like that or you can top them a few shreds of lettuce and a couple of diced tomatoes.
Either way, you’re going to want to throw a couple of these on your plate while you’re shoving one into you mouth. I won’t tell! 😉 You’ll want to keep both hands free from texting or gaming during dinner so that you can enjoy these Mini Manwich Taco Bowls in all their tasty glory!
