No Bake Peppermint Oreo Cheesecake – A great no bake dessert that’s perfect for the holidays!
Is it too late to convince my family that we just need to go to the beach for Christmas this year? We went to the beach for the week of Christmas a few years ago and it was literally one of the best Christmas’ that we’ve had.
We rented a big beach house and there was a lot of relaxing, Christmas cookie making, ocean gazing and seashell hunting. I need that again. I mean sheesh…I haven’t been to the beach since the last week of July…I’m getting kind of restless. haha
But…my future sister in law has to work the Saturday after Christmas so it doesn’t look like we’ll be making the trip to the coast this holiday unless Thomas and I just decide to go on our own. I still haven’t totally thrown that idea out of the window.
A nice relaxing Christmas morning at the beach with my honey sounds pretty good to me. 🙂
Plus, I think we’re going to go without a big tree this year. I’m not feeling it, Thomas isn’t feeling it, I don’t really want to spend a bunch of money on a tree that’s gonna die in a few weeks and to be honest the thought of having to fiddle with lights and garland make me want to take a nap.
I set up the little 3 foot “beach tree” but that might be the only one that’s going up this year. Thomas said he was totally fine with that and it won’t be the first year that we didn’t put up a big tree.
I’ll probably look for a Christmas tree on sale after the holidays so that we’ll have one for next year. We normally get a live tree but I think that I want to see if I can get a super nice pre-lit tree for next year. Maybe if we already have one at the house it won’t take up forever to put it up. haha.
Who am I kidding… we’ll probably still wait until the last minute. However, if we already have the tree then it won’t cost us anything haha. Trying to positive here haha.
So last weekend our Downtown area had a little Christmas event. It was literally a full day of Christmas stuff!
I got my god-daughters, Alyssa and Kendra, that morning and we started our day off by walking over to the market for the Christmas craft show. We had breakfast with Santa, got candy canes, decorated cookies, got more candy canes and I picked up a few homemade decorations for the apartment.
Then after a walk to the playground, we went downstairs to the coffee shop for lunch and “story time with santa”. Story time with Santa and lunch also included hot chocolate and more candy canes haha.
Then after a short break, we walked a few blocks over for the “Christmas on the Plaza” to see the Christmas lights, listen to Christmas carolers and of course drink more hot Chocolate and have more candy canes.
Our day was literally packed full of peppermints and candy canes! I mean literally it was literally a hot chocolate and peppermint kind of day!
With that being said, I can’t think of a dessert that’s more appropriate for this week that this No-Bake Peppermint Oreo Cheesecake!
We’re still in the middle of Christmas Week which means that a bunch of us food bloggers are still sharing tons of festive Christmas recipes with y’all

12/09/15
For the Crust:
31 Oreos (I used 1 package of “Winter Red Oreos”)
1/4 cup melted butter (4 tablespoons)
For the cheesecake:
32 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
32 oz heavy cream
1.5 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons peppermint extract
42 Peppermint Oreos (2 packs), chopped
Directions
In a food processor, combine the 31 Oreos and 1/4 cup melted butter. Pulse until finely blended.
Press mixture into the bottom of a 10 inch spring form pan.
Place the crust into the fridge for 30 minutes.
In a stand mixer (or a glass bowl with an electric mixer), blend the cream cheese and sugar. Beat in the heavy cream and powdered sugar until smooth. Whisk in the peppermint extract.
Spoon some of these cheesecake filling into the crust.
Sprinkle in some of the chopped Oreos.
Spread in some more cheesecake filling and sprinkle with more of the chopped Oreos.
Continue until all of the cheesecake batter has been used, finishing with a layer of chopped Oreos.
Wrap the top of the cheesecake with plastic wrap and place into the fridge for 5-6 hours or over night. Keep Chilled.

I make peanut clusters. My grandma’s recipe.
I like to make Fufge for Christmas gifts. That way I don’t eat it all MYSELF!
Girl that cheesecake looks amazing. Not sure I’d be able to share it though ; )
Cut out sugar cookies are a must have at our house for Christmas. This pie is so fun with the bright pink Oreo filling.
My favorite holiday treat is hands-down my famous peppermint chocolate mousse pie!
I love this cheesecake. It’s perfect for the holidays 🙂 I grew up with a real tree every year but when I moved to New York I gave up on the real tree business. It’s just so much work. Now we have a fake tree and I love it! Except I’m the worst an never decorate for Christmas because I hate the whole unpacking all the Christmas decorations.
I love baking cookies during the holidays!
Looks amazing Angie! Happy holidays to you!
I was GOING to say that almond crescents are my favorite holiday treat, but dang girl… I think it’s Oreo cheesecake now!
That is one amazing looking cheesecake!
Oh my… I’ve been on a serious peppermint kick lately (just that time of year), and this looks so perfect! No bake is just awesome 🙂
This sounds so easy and yummy! And I’ve evidently been living under a ROCK because this is the first time I’ve seen red oreos!
Yum! I love making all kinds of Christmas cookies and peppermint ice cream with hot fudge!
Oh my goodness that cheesecake sounds absolutely wonderful! I’m gonna have to hunt down those winter red Oreos and make one of these!
On another note – we put up an artificial tree for the first time every this year. I was very hesitant to do it, but oh my how fast it was!! I was like – “we’re done?!? Whoa.” I’ve decided I’m going to like it 🙂
this looks amazing and super easy to make!
I like to make Sex-In-A-Pan – I’ve seen it called Chocolate Lasagna online which is easier to say in front of some people but my Mom always called it Sex-In-A-Pan as it is sooooo good, almost better than sex. I am looking forwards to making a pan actually, next week.
M
I will take Christmas at the beach and this cheesecake!! Sounds perfect to me.
Our favorite sweet treat to make for the holidays is definitely fudge. I only get it around the holidays so that makes it extra special….
Wow! That does sound amazing!
A day full of hot choclate and candy canes sounds almost as divine as this cheesecake looks! We had one year that we skipped the big tree. I was feeling guilty about it until I realized that nothing catastrophic occured because we weren’t feeling it and decided not to put up a tree. Sometimes you just have to go with it.
Love making russian tea cake cookies!
