3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip that’s ready in no time! Perfect with mini pretzels or banana chips!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip

I’ve never had an issue with just getting up and going when it comes to travel until this year. You see, normally if the opportunity to travel came up I would pour every last penny into it just to make it happen. I love to travel, it rejuvenates my soul and exploring new places just calms me down and makes me realize how small my problems really are sometimes.

This year is different. It’s not that I don’t want to travel, it’s just that I’m not being as quick to drop my hard earned money and jet off. I’ve been so good with saving my money over the past year or so that I actually don’t want to spend it. haha

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip

I have a goal to be my own boss my the end of the year. I want to work full time on my own and make a living doing it…but man is it hard.

While being my own boss would be amazing, it also makes me panic.  I don’t ever want to fall back into the poor house like we once were. Ok…we’re not rich or anything but we’re doing better than we were a few years ago.  We still struggle sometimes but I don’t want to struggle 24/7 like we use to.

I think that’s why I’m squirrelling  away my money. I’m scared to use it because we might need it.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip

This this year….we’re planning on going to Disney World. It’ll be our big vacation for the year, we’ll it’ll be the only vacation for Thomas and I together this year but I’m so nervous. I have everything in my cart, ready to go and I just can’t bring myself to press the purchase button! What’s wrong with me?!?!

Ugh, maybe I need a vacation so that I’ll stop stressing about spending money on vacation hahaha.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip

But anyways, sorry. I needed to chat and y’all were here so I thought we’d chat haha.

Let’s move on to the food. As always…it’s why you’re really here. haha

So what are we making today? We’re making a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip with truwhip and peanut butter!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip

Let’s talk about truwhip for a second. A while ago, the sweet people at truwhip sent a case of truwhip for me to try for the first time. I admit it, I was skeptical but I was willing to give it a go. (YES, they sent me some free truwhip months ago, NO they didn’t pay me to write about truwhip, I just wanted to share this with you)

Why was I skeptical? Well, I love Cool Whip. I love it so much and I make a lot of fruit dips with it and no bake desserts during the summer and I wasn’t sure if this would be as good.

I have to admit that sometimes the “better for you” foods just don’t taste the same to me.

But truwhip was totally different. It tasted really good and I was surprised that I loved it just as much as my beloved coolwhip.

truwhip comes in little tubs just like cool whip. It’s in the freezer section and thaws just like cool whip does.

But you know, even though I post a lot of southern recipes and desserts, I’m still trying to eat good during my normal meals and snacks. So I was pretty excited to try truwhip since it’s 100% natural, has no-high fructose corn syrup (y’all know how I feel about that!!!) and it’s non GMO verified.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip

So, this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip only has 3 Ingredients, yep, that’s it!

You’re going to need a tub of truwhip (regular or skinny – I’ve made it with both before), PB2 Powdered Peanut butter (yes, this is a thing and it’s actually really good) and of course mini chocolate chips!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip

You’re pretty much just going to fold all of that together and chill it until your ready to serve it! I normally chill this for 30 minutes to an hour but you don’t have to.

Also, for serving you can pretty much use anything you want but I love mini pretzels and banana chips for this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Dip!

I love this easy dip! I understand what you mean about saving but also wanting to travel. My husband and I LOVE to travel, as you do, and we put kind of a priority in it cuz we know experiences and memories are worth so much. I am jealous you’re going to Disney! My fave place ever.

I am kinda jealous of your Disney vacation for Halloween. That’s my birthday and I’d love to experience that. One day… I’ll have to look for this truwhip in the stores. I’ve not seen in yet. Thanks for the tip!

I sometimes have a hard time parting with my hard earned money these days, too – I totally get it! This dip sounds so good. I haven’t tried pb powder yet, but I want to (and loving the banana chips for dipping)!

You can sooooo do it! I love being my own boss, lol. While I don’t have a desire to travel, I do know it is hard to spend money when you have saved up from hard working. But come on, we can stay home and enjoy this awesome dip, right?! 🙂

Okay, I’m totally intrigued by this truwhip stuff, I’ll definitely have to check it out. Though I like the taste of Cool Whip I avoid it for the very reasons truwhip advertises it *isn’t*. Thanks for the info!

Using banana chips with this dip is such a tasty idea! I also love PB2 peanut butter powder but haven’t used it in several years. I used to order it directly through the company, but it’s nice to see it on grocery store shelves now.

I was so excited to see Truwhip in the store because I just can not do Cool Whip, but I don’t always want real whipped cream. Weird but true. I’ll have to try it now!

OK, the idea if dipping banana chips into this is seriously yummy! And as far as pushing “buy” for the trup…maybe it’s not “the” trip for you. Maybe something else would have made you push buy right away…like laying on a beach and being waited on all day…Lol! Now I am daydreaming!
