The 4th of July layered drink that I posted back in July of 2011 has been one of my most popular post since the day I hit “Publish” to sent it to the blog.
Everyone loves it’s pretty colors and it’s still a favorite our ours at our patriotic parties!
I thought we could play around with some new layered drink ideas.
This one is a Pink and Purple Layered Drink.
The purple comes from Diet Grape Gatorade and the pink is from a mixture of Strawberry Lemonade Powerade and V8 V-Fusion Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade.
The layers rely on the amount of sugar in each drink. The more sugar the drink has, the “heavier” it will be. So layer them with the heaviest at the bottom.

Pink and Purple Layered Drink
Ingredients
4 ounces Strawberry Lemonade Powerade
4 ounces V8 V-Fusion Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade
4 ounces Diet Grape Gatorade
Ice
Spoon
Instructions
Fill glass with a handful of ice.
Pour in Strawberry Lemonade Powerade. Pour in V8 V-Fusion Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade.
Pour the last layer of Diet Grape Gatorade over the back of a spoon or pour it directly onto an ice cube.
Pink will be on bottom, purple on top.

Very pretty. I see you used liquid density for this. My youngest did a science experiment on liquid density this year and will be thrilled to see this. lovely !
