Today is the last day of 2013!! Happy New Year’s Eve!! I hope 2013 has been wonderful to you! It’s been a wonderful year for BigBear and I! I am so excited to see what 2014 has in store for us!
I’ve got a run down of the Top 13 Most Popular Recipes of 2013 on my blog thanks to YOU! Yes you! 🙂 These recipes rank the highest because wonderful readers like you have loved them, visited them and shared them! So Thank you for an amazing 2013! Cheers to the New Year and Let’s check out the best from 2013!
I made this Blackberry Cobbler back in June when my love affair with blackberries was out of control! It’s got just a bit of sweetness but not enough to over power the tartness from the blackberries!
This Panini came about during our October Clean Eating Challenge this year! Big Bear and I “ate clean” for 30 days straight and did a mighty fine job with it if I do say so myself! My friend Anne was my go to girl for great ideas and after the two of us threw a few ideas back and forth one afternoon this Panini came to life! By far one of my favorite sandwiches!
Literally a “just because I want to make this” dessert haha. With inspiration from this, Oreo Icebox Cake from Cookies and Cups I got into the kitchen and create this delicious dessert! Big Bear loved it because of the Oreos! They are his favorite cookie 😉
Spicy Buffalo Chicken Bites with a Cool White BBQ sauce came to be as a project with Hellmann’s® Mayonnaise. Hellmann’s® Mayonnaise celebrated their 100th Birthday this year and I (along with other bloggers) worked on recipes using their mayonnaise to celebrate! (I also turned down a ticket offer to Hellmann’s® Mayonnaise Worlds Largest Picnic in NYC because I didn’t think I could make it and I am now kicking myself for not trying more! I however loved seeing all of the photos from bloggers that did go!)
I made these for BigBear’s Birthday lunch this year so they made an appearance on the blog for a #SundaySupper post the weekend after his birthday. He loved them and they’ve now become a household favorite! So easy to put together and perfect to pack in lunch boxes!
A bread that is soft on the inside, has a but of a crunch on the outside and it’s packed full of fruit! Peaches from our trip to Monticello and Blueberries that our neighbors gave us from their blueberries bushes were just begging to be made into bread! The batter was almost prettier than the cooked bread!
A recipe that I “re-did” this year because I hated the photos that were in the original post. I first made Our Favorite Enchiladas when we were first married and living in NC. It’s literally a recipe that’s followed us through the course of our marriage and still remains a favorite! I made a clean version for our “eat clean” challenge and really need to get that on the blog soon!
A dessert I made for Meghan. She was diagnosed with celiac disease and because that that she was missing out on a lot of her favorite foods. Desserts were hard to plan because I wasn’t use to making gluten free desserts. With Anne’s help I made this Gluten Free Peach Cobbler and Meghan loved it! (and so did ya’ll!)
The only pork chops that I have truly loved. Another post for #SundaySupper that shot straight to our favorites list here in the Barrett house! I’ve always been worried about under-cooked pork and I’ve also been known to over OVER cook pork but for this recipe I nailed it and we love it!
#4. Pizza Pasta
A recipe that I made while we were at Carolina beach last year for Christmas. It was originally suppose to be a Pizza soup but that didn’t quite work out, however the end result of Pizza Pasta totally made up for it!
I can not begin to tell you how much I love this Chocolate “Pumpkin” Swiss Roll Cake! This was one of those recipe that when it was all said and done I was jumping around like a crazy person and so, so in love with the finished cake! Anyone that knows me know that I have a love cake relationship with cake so this was a big deal to me!
Fall of the bone short ribs! These became a favorite of ya’lls (and ours) the moment I post them! They hit the blog and the comments and love just kept pouring in! I’m so glad that you all loved them as much as we do!
And finally the #1 Most Popular Recipes of 2013 on the blog! Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese! I love a good warm, ooey gooey mac and cheese! This one delivered just that! I’ve had so many comments and e-mails from people that have made this and loved it!
So…. that’s it. The Top 13 Most Popular Recipes of 2013 on BigBearsWife.com
