Valentines day is right around the corner and if you’re looking for something sweet to make for your sweetheart, you’ve come to the right place! This 3 Layered XOXO Valentines Bark is super pretty, great for Valentines and super easy to make!
What you need for 3 Layered XOXO Valentines Bark (amount in the full recipe) :
- Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- milk chocolate candy melts or candy coating
- white candy melts or candy coating
- bright pink candy melts
- red, pink and white small round candy-coated, chocolate candies
- Piping bag
Pink Candy Melts:
You don’t have to use bright pink but I love how it looked against the milk chocolate and white chocolate. You could also use light pink if that’s what you find at your store.
Chocolate Candies:
The red, pink and white small round candy-coated, chocolate candies that are used are called Sixlets. They’re kind of like M&M candies but round.
They’re really good.
I found these Valentines day colored ones at the Dollar Tree but I’ve also see them at Hobby Lobby and a few other candy shops.
Using a mat for making bark:
When you’re making chocolate bark like this, you’ll want to make sure that you pour the melted chocolate onto something like a silicone mat, parchment paper or foil. It will be much easier later to get the pieces up if you’re using a mat like this for making the bark.
A bit of pouring and a bit of drying time is really all you need to create this 3 layered dessert! Its’ super pretty and I love how the colors look together!
Adding the XOXO
So, one little detail that I added to this Valentines Bark was the white chocolate XOXOs all over the top.
To do this, simply melt some white chocolate candy melts and fill a piping bag with them.
Cut a very small end from the piping bag tip and pipe XOXO in random spots in between candy pieces on top of bark and let bark harden for 30 minutes.
Break or cut into shards. Store in an airtight container
