Apple Pie Milkshake #loveNZfruit

Ok we’re past June 21st… um… SUMMER IS HERE!! It’s here, it’s here! Oh summer, where have you been!

So I have a totally new outlook on summer this year. Most years I hide from summer. It’s hot, I hate bathing suits, I hate feeling like I have to have a tan bikini body in order to enjoy the beautiful beach! I love the beach but to be honest I stayed away from it for a long time because I was unhappy with myself.

Well let me tell you that while I may not be 100% happy with myself, I am WAY more into accepting my own body than I have in YEARS! Thank you LORD! This getting older thing is good for me! haha the Older I get the more I work on being healthy and less on hiding my not perfect self.

I’m accepting myself more and more each day!

So I know that’s odd to talk about when I’m trying to shove an Apple Pie Milkshake in your face but that’s another thing I’m working on. I’m working on not starving myself of the things I love. Now will I be drinking Apple Pie Milkshakes everyday for a week… um… no…(I totally wish though!)

I will eat 1000 times more apples than I will eat ice cream this week! I will go to the gym. I eat my vegetables I will enjoy some dang ice cream or a milkshake if I want to!

Um.. hello… how could there be a summer without ice cream? I have the most wonderful memories from my childhood that revolved around ice cream.

In the summer evenings we would load our dogs into our little red wagon and we’d all (and by all I mean my whole family and some neighborhood kids) would walk from our house a mile or two down the way to the ice cream shop called, Bubbas.

We’d sit on the ground and eat our ice cream and drink our milkshakes and then race each other home! I literally could replay those memories in my mind all night.

Oh my, so let’s talk about this Apple Pie Milkshake! Apple Pie is just fantastic and we all know milkshakes are amazing! Putting those two things together should have been a no brainier but even after thinking about it for a while I still needed more opinions!

I asked around to find out what people thought about an Apple Pie Milkshake. I got a few “mmm maybes” and a TON of “Heck Yes!” answers along with some very willing taste testers!!

I’m totally in love with these Envy Apples! They’re crisp and sweet and I have heard nothing but fantastic reviews from my friends! Yes, I shared some of my apples with oodles of friends so far I’ve heard that they loved them!

Now we just need a sweet, ice cold dessert to go with those apples 😉
