Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! YAY! I’m not shy about it at all! Today is my birthday and I don’t mind telling my age! 🙂 As of about 5 am this morning, I’m 29! :)If you haven’t noticed, I’m not one of those gals that shys away from their age or Birthday! I’m thankful to have survived 29 years on this earth and I hope to live through many, MANY more!
Ready for what I thought was just going to be dinner with BigBear, Adam and Meghan.

Can I just tell you about the sweetest thing ever?! Saturday night my friends and family totally got me with a Surprise Birthday Party!!!! I felt so, so loved! Meghan put it all together and everyone kept their lips sealed!

I haven’t had a surprise party since I was 16! I thought that BigBear and I were just going out to dinner with with Adam and Meghan and to my surprise we pulled up to the fire department where my friends and family were standing with balloons and banners to welcome me to my party!!

And do you know what theme Meghan and My mom put together? Guess…. ok I’ll tell you! haha
Disney/Disney Princesses!! hahahaha! An absolute PERFECT theme for this Disney loving girl!
You have no idea how much it meant to have all these people working secretly to give me a birthday party! Everyone always jokes that I spend all my time throwing people parties and that I need to have one of my own and that’s exactly what I got!
So yes, I know this post is suppose to be about Homemade Banana Pudding Ice Cream and don’t worry the recipe is below, BUT I want to take a second to show off just a few photos from Saturday Night!

Look, look, look!!! Disney and Disney Princess stuff everywhere! Just because I’m turning 29 doesn’t mean that I can’t have a Disney loving party!!! haha

Thomas’ grandma thought of the perfect gift haha. A gift card and Chocolate! I was so, so happy to see her there!

Oh and goodness knows…..what would I do without these ladies!

Nikki, Crystal, Me & Meghan

I am so lucky to have such amazing friends and family!

Thank you SO MUCH Meghan and everyone else that put together my party! Ya’ll are quite amazing!
Do you know what else is amazing? This Banana Pudding ice cream that I’ll be enjoying today for my birthday!
I used my favorite vanilla ice cream recipe, added some banana pudding and walked away with one of the most fantastic ice cream flavors I’ve ever had! BigBear has claimed two bowls of it already!!
I wish you were here to celebrate with me because I would totally share my ice cream with you BUT lucky for you even though it’s my birthday, I’m giving you a gift! The gift of Banana Ice Pudding Ice Cream that is hee hee 🙂 Hope you love it!
Homemade Banana Pudding Ice Cream
by: Angie Barrett 06/23/14                                                    (Click to Print)
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract

2 cups banana pudding (I used a box mix but you can use homemade)
1/4 cup crushed Vanilla Wafers

Directions
In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix together the milk and sugar. Mix for about 5 minutes on medium speed until the sugar is dissolved.

Once the sugar is dissolved completely, mix in the heavy cream and the vanilla.

Turn on the ice cream maker and pour the mixture into the ice cream machines frozen freezer bowl.
(check your ice cream makers instructions for your exact model)

Let the ice cream churn for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, slowly pour in 2 cups of Banana Pudding.

Let the ice cream churn for 15 minutes.

Now pour half of the ice cream into an airtight container, sprinkle on half of the crushed vanilla wafers. Pour in the other half of the ice cream. Top with the rest of the crush vanilla wafers. Now use a knife to swirl the crushed vanilla wafers into the soft ice cream.

Place into the freezer to harden.
(This may take anywhere from 2 hour to overnight, depending on your freezer).
Makes 2 quarts
.

Here’s to 29 years and a TON more to go! I never want to hate my birthday, I will love it no matter how old I get! As I always tell BigBear…. “I’m thankful for every year I’m blessed with because so many people we know didn’t even have a chance to make it this far!”

Hey! 🙂 You need banana pudding (not just the powder), you’ll need to make it before you add it.
