This Baked Sausage Marinara Alfredo Pasta is what pasta dreams are made of! This is one of those baked pasta recipes that will have you asking for seconds and maybe even thirds! It’s simple to toss together and baked in 25 minutes. This is one ultimate pasta recipe that you don’t want to miss.
If you were to look for this kind of pasta on a menu at a local Italian restaurant you would want to look for Pink Sauce pasta dishes. What is pink sauce pasta?
It’s pretty much a pasta dish with Alfredo with Mariana mixed in. It may sound odd to some people at first but it’s so delicious!
What you’ll need for Baked Sausage Marinara Alfredo Pasta:
- ground pork sausage
- Italian Seasoning
- rotini pasta
- marinara sauce
- alfredo sauce
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- dried parsley (optional)
What kind of sausage should I use for Baked Sausage Marinara Alfredo Pasta?
This amazing Baked Sausage Marinara Alfredo Pasta is made with ground pork sausage that I seasoned with Italian Seasoning while it was being cooked.
Although I haven’t tested it in my kitchen, you can probably swap out the pork sausage for ground turkey, ground chicken or ground beef. If you use ground beef, just make sure to get lean ground beef so that there isn’t a ton of grease, or make sure to drain it well before adding it to the pasta mixture.
What kind of pasta should I use for Baked Sausage Marinara Alfredo Pasta?
For this baked pasta recipe I used rotini pasta because I like the way it holds onto all of the sauce within it’s twist and turns. I think that Penne, Ziti and Cavatappi/Cellentani pasta would also work really well for this Marinara Alfredo Pasta dish.
Actually to be honest you can use any pasta and be totally happy with this dish because the sauce is just that good.
How to we make the best baked pasta dish ever?
It’s super easy! I’ve got the entire printable recipe for you at the bottom of this post but here is a quick run down of what’s going on here.
First you’re going to want to season and cook the pork sausage in a skillet while you’re cooking the pasta in a big pot of salted boiling water.
Then once the sausage is done, remove it from the heat. Drain the pasta once it’s finished cooking and dump it back into the pot.
Pour in your sauces and stir it up.
Toss that seasoned cooked, tasty, sausage into the mix and stir it all together.
Pour all of that baked pasta goodness into a large casserole dish, top it with cheese and toss that into the oven.
After about 25 minutes you’ll be ready to chow down on one of the best pasta dish ever! Well, you may want to let it cool just a minute before you do.
Sprinkle it with a little dried parsley to give it some color, or don’t. That part is totally up to you. Serve it up with some garlic bread and be ready to fall in love!
Q&A:
- Do I have to use rotini pasta?
Nope! I bet that Penne, Ziti and Cavatappi pasta would also work really well for this Marinara Alfredo Pasta dish.
- What about homemade marinara and alfredo? Will those work?
Of course! I just used jarred for this recipe because I wanted to use pantry items to help create a tasty dinner recipe. I’ve got a homemade alfredo sauce recipe that I use for my Sausage and Spinach Alfredo pasta that would be super tasty in this recipe.
- I don’t eat pork. What else can I use?
You could use ground turkey, ground chicken or ground beef. You could also leave out the meat all together if you wanted to.

Excellent dinner. I used 1/2 bulk Italian sausage and 1/2 ground beef. Cooked penne pasta separately. Once meat is browned, I added the chopped onion and garlic and then both sauces. I layered it 1/2 meat and pasta mixture. Next layer, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, then meat mixture and topped off with the mozz. and parm cheeses and dried parsley
