Super easy brownie trifles with cute little sugar bunnies and Easter eggs hidden in the tall grass icing.
Oh goodness, you know by now I should be able to sit down in front of my computer, type up a recipe, get photos ready for a post and type out a blog post for y’all with no problems. Still, year after year, I make food, I make desserts, I write out recipes and photography treats and then when it comes to writing a post for y’all to go along with the recipe I’m like a broken type writer. Blank paper and no ink.
Ok look, these Bunny Brownie Trifles are cute, make them for Easter. Ok Thanks. Bye……………….
Just kidding, I won’t just drop these off and run quite that fast.
Ok, well actually if I was really dropping them off to you in person I probably would just drop them off and run off because small talk is awkward. Sorry NOT Sorry.4
Speaking to dropping off treats to people. The other week when I made those Chocolate Dipped Robin Egg Cookies , and delivered them to friends around the city, I decided that I wanted to start giving away some of the sweets that I make for the blog to my friends more often.
I loved the smiles that I got when I showed up with treats to give away. I loved how it made me feel too. 🙂
I even started a little list on my personal Facebook page for friends to drop their names if they wanted to be added to my list of people willing to accept free treats. I seriously can’t wait to start going down the list and giving away treats as I make them for the blog.
These little cuties didn’t make it out to friends this time but I did take one to my mom and I think Thomas has claimed the others. haha
These little Easter Bunny Brownie Trifles were actually inspired by a photo that Thomas and I saw at Walmart when we were out shopping the other night. I pulled him through the Easter section and while we don’t have any kids yet, I still love to look at all of the Easter baskets and candies. Even though we don’t normally buy anything I like to get ideas.
So they had a dessert cake mix gift set that came with cake mix, green icing and bunny cut outs. You made the cake mix, crumbled it into dirt, added the icing and stick the bunny toothpick into the center. It was super cute but I’m not normally one for kits haha. I like to do things on my own. haha
So I was standing there thinking of how cute these little Easter cups where and thought, BAM, I could totally make something cute like this for the blog and it would be just as easy without this little kit.
So I grabbed this cute little pack of sugar bunnies and went onto look for what else to put with them.
Thomas is the one that picked out the Easter Egg Sprinkles. He said they would look cute in the “brownie dirt”. hahaha I love him.
So after I got home and made these little brownie trifles (recipe below), I used a Wilton Decorating Tip # 233 and a piping bag filled with green frosting to make the grass for these.
I stuck a cute little icing bunny in the center and then I “hid” a few little Easter eggs in the grass to finish them up. 🙂
Make these for Easter or just make them any time. They’d be cute for your Easter dessert this year but they’ll also be super adorable for any spring evening treat!
Yes, I made these “semi-homemade” but if you want to make your own brownies from scratch here are a few recipes that you might love:

Oh my goodness these are so stinkin adorable! I agree though, that writing of the post some days or most days is a REAL struggle!!!

Trust me – I get that ALL THE TIME. Sometimes I seriously just find nothing to say and I’d rather just share a recipe than write about nonsense. It’s a struggle, for real! These bunnies are just so cute though.

Awwww…the cuteness! I can just see you two walking through Wal Mart and getting hit with inspiration. Sometimes that happens to me, but most times I forget by the time we get back in the car, ha! These are so adorable for Easter!!!

Haha. I’m the same way. Sometimes I just have nothing to say. So I babble one about the development process. Boooring. 😉 And these are so, so cute! Love all your Easter goodies this year.

I absolutely adore the sprinkles and sugar toppers that Wilton comes up with for each holiday. Those bunnies are adorable! If I were Thomas, I’d hide all of the brownie trifles so that I didn’t have to share.

How cute are these?!? And I love your idea about starting a Facebook group to solicit folks to share your goodies with. I usually unload them on my perfectly willing colleagues in my office.
