Homemade popsicles are so fun to make and they’re a great treat for hot spring and summer days. I especially love these fruit popsicles made with lemonade because they look like stained glass! They’re just so pretty. Not only are they great for using up fruit you have around the house but if you make them with the red, white and blue fruits, they’re great for Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July Cookouts.

How to make Lemonade Fruit Popsicles:
It’s hot outside, so lets cool down and make these popsicles.
Cutting out the fruit for fruit popsicles:
For these particular pops, we’re going to be using red, white and blue fruits but you can really use any colors that you want.
Peel and slice pears into small pieces. You’ll want all of the fruit to be small enough to pop down into the popsicle mold.
For the little stars, slice a small watermelon into 1/2 inch slices and cut out the stars (or other shapes) with a knife or mini cookie cutters.
I love cutting out watermelon stars for summer desserts and drinks, like the watermelon spritzers that I make for parties. I think that cut out watermelon stars just make drinks and desserts so pretty. However, you don’t have to cut out little stars. You can always just cut out little chunks of watermelon for these pops.
Not a fan of watermelon?
No problem! You could also use sliced strawberries for these!
Time to make the lemonade:
I love homemade lemonade in the summer, and it’s perfect for the base of these ice pops!
In a small saucepan, heat sugar and 1 cup of water until sugar is melted. Remove from heat and leave to cool.
Pour cooled syrup into a large jug and add the juice from the 3 lemons. Stir to combine.
Add 1 1/2 cups water and mix.
Making fruit popsicles:
Layer the fruit in the popsicle molds.
Any type of popsicle mold will work. I personally love the popsicle molds that look like the “old timey” pops. But I’ve also found some super cute molds on Amazon, like these Dinosaur Popsicle Molds and these Mickey Mouse molds!
Fill the molds with the lemonade. Cover the molds and insert the popsicle sticks.
Pop into the freezer for a minimum of 6 hours (preferably overnight).
When ready to serve, hold the popsicle mold under running hot water for 5-10 seconds to make it easier to pull the popsicles out of the molds.
