Smooth homemade white chocolate with a Halloween twist! Add on a witch hat cookie and you’ve got Melting Witch Hot Chocolate!
I can’t believe that I waited so long to share this recipe with y’all!
This Halloween recipe is one of the very first ones I made this season! For some reason it’s just been pushed back to the corner! How rude of me.
This Hot Chocolate would be just perfect served along side of the Melting Witch Brownies that I posted 2 weeks ago!
They’re my little nod to the melting witch from The Wizard of Oz!
While the Wizard of Oz isn’t really a Halloween movie, I like to toss the melting witch into my Halloween recipes because you know……she’s a witch.
Witches and Halloween do go hand in hand you know. 😉
So you know how people like to drink hot chocolate while they’re decorating for Christmas with Christmas carols playing in the background?
Well, that’s kind of how I am when it comes to Halloween. haha.
I pull all of my Halloween decorations out and set up Bluetooth speakers for music while I decorate.
I play Halloween music and the soundtrack to “The Nightmare Before Christmas” while I’m decorating the house. haha
Is it bad that I put up the decorations this year already?
Not only did I put them up early but I put them up and then thought, “This isn’t Halloweeny enough, I need more stuff”…..yeah the apartment is COVERED in Halloween stuff already.
I don’t think I really need more. lol
But anyways, now I have a sweet little Halloween hot chocolate to sip on while I decorate!
I think this would get everyone into the Halloween spirit!
Happy Haunting! Check out all of the spooky Halloween recipes and crafts on this website!!

Melting Witch Hot Chocolate
Smooth homemade white chocolate with a Halloween twist! Add on a witch hat cookie and you've got Melting Witch Hot Chocolate! In the bowl of a mixer add 1 cup heavy cream and the sugar. Whip on medium high until stiff peaks form. Mix in vanilla and a few drops of green food coloring. Add the whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla and chopped white chocolate to a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Heat until the white chocolate is melted and the hot chocolate starts to simmer. Do not let it burn or boil! Stir in a drop or two of green food coloring. Pour hot chocolate into mugs. Top with Green whipped cream and a witch hat cookie. Flip Fudge Stripe cookies over to chocolate side. Fill a plastic sandwich baggie with the orange icing and pipe an icing circle around the center of the cookie. Press an unwrapped chocolate kiss candy into the middle of the orange icing.Melting Witch Hot Chocolate

I’m not using this for Halloween but I’m going to use it at my son’s Grinch Birthday party minus the witch hat, Think I might make a candy heart instead but this seems like it would go perfectly love your inspiration thank you

This is so cute!! However I live in Arizona so it’s still 100 degrees outside when we’re decorating, so I’ll probably replace the hot chocolate part with a mint milkshake!
Angie says
Oh my gosh, I love that idea! Maybe I’ll make a melting witch mint milkshake for the blog for next Halloween!
