Mickey Mouse Lovers, these Mickey Mouse Cake Pops are for y’all! Don’t worry! They’re super simple to make and would be super cute for a birthday party or any Disney themed party!
My little boy has two dessert obsessions right now….cake pops and macarons. He also loves Disney World and has been begging for us to take another trip to Walt Disney World soon.
So I thought that it would be fun to combine his love of cake pops and constant talk of Disney into one fun dessert with these easy Mickey Mouse Cake Pops.
Ingredients For Mickey Mouse Cake Pop:

Can I Use A Cake Mix or a Store Bought Cake for This Recipe?
YES! That would make this recipe even easier. You can whip up a cake from a box mix, make some from scratch or pick up a cake or cupcakes from the grocery store. If you are going to use a cake from the store that already has icing on it, you won’t need to add the extra frosting in the recipe.
How To Make Mickey Mouse Cake Pop:
-
In a large mixing bowl, add the cake and frosting.
-
Mix well until the cake becomes like firm batter.
-
Form batter into 1 1/2” balls. Set aside.
-
Melt the white almond bark in a bowl using a microwave. Heat 30 seconds at a time until fully melted. Add a splash of oil if needed. Add a few drops of red coloring until you reach fire engine red.
-
Dip the cake pop stick into the melted chocolate about a half inch. Then stick it into the cake ball. Repeat for all the cake balls.
-
Dip cake pops into the red chocolate until fully coated. Place upright in a holder or foam base to allow the chocolate to harden,
-
Before the chocolate hardens, take two melting wafers and stick them in the cake pop to form Mickey’s ears.
-
Melt the almond bark in a bowl using a microwave. Heat 30 seconds at a time until fully melted. Add a splash of oil if needed.
-
Dip the hardened cake pops in the melted chocolate covering the ears and half of the cake pop. Leaving the red exposed on the bottom.
-
Melt half a block of white almond bark in a bowl using a microwave. Heat 30 seconds at a time until fully melted. Add a splash of oil if needed. Add a drop of yellow and mix.
You could also use small round yellow sprinkles instead of the candy melts if you wanted to. -
Once the cake pops have hardened, dab some yellow chocolate between the red and brown chocolate to form yellow buttons using an unused cake pop stick.
-
Let the cake pops finish hardening and enjoy!
What Is Chocolate Candy Coating/Candy Melts and Where Can I Find It?
Chocolate Candy coating is a chocolate that melts easily without tempering and coats and covers items with a smooth finish. It is also known as Chocolate Almond Bark, Chocolate Candy Coating, Candy Melts, Candy Wafers or confectionery and melting chocolate.
You can find Chocolate and White at most grocery stores in the baking section. But at craft stores like Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Walmart you can find Candy Melts in all sorts of colors!
Also if you want to buy the white candy coating at the grocery store because sometimes it is cheaper, you can use Oil Based Food Coloring for Chocolate to color it.
