I never knew how popular toasted Cheerios were until I posted a recipe about Mini Doughnut Hot Buttered Toasted Cheerios a few weeks ago. My mother in law loves plain toasted Cheerios but those Cinnamon Toasted Cheerios really seemed to be popular.
So, since everyone loved those Cheerios, I thought I’d make a perfect fall snack using Pumpkin Spice Cheerios!
When I went to the grocery store the other day there were all kinds of Pumpkin Spice food items and I can’t lie, my fall and Halloween loving self was in heaven. I mean I don’t consider myself a Pumpkin Spice Lover but I do like it sometimes, especially when it comes to coffee or tea.
However, there is no doubt that Pumpkin Spice is SUPER popular.
What you’ll need to make Toasted Pumpkin Spice Cheerios:
- butter
- vanilla extract
- Pumpkin Spice Cheerios cereal
- white sugar
- ground cinnamon
- pumpkin pie spice
Let’s make some Toasted Pumpkin Spice Cheerios!
In a large skillet, melt butter over low heat and then stir in vanilla.
Add cereal; cook and stir 5 minutes.
Transfer cereal to large bowl.
Add sugar, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice to cereal in bowl; toss well to coat.
This particular recipe is made on the stove top in a skillet however, I have made a recipe like this in the crockpot as well. So, if you want to try these in the crockpot, you can grab the slow cooker method here. I think the slow cooker version is nice but the skillet version is so quick and easy that I actually prefer the skillet method for this snack.
