RECIPE IS BELOW IN PRINTABLE RECIPE CARD BUT BLOG POST IS FULL OF “HOW TO MAKE IT”, TIPS, INFORMATION AND FAQ
It’s a classic and a family favorite, plus people have been making it for years, well at least since the 1800s! What is it? It’s the beloved (and sometimes hated) meatloaf!
While it’s probably not at the top of most kids love list when it comes to food, it’s one thing that my 3 year old will eat, so it is ranked pretty high in my recipe book. While there are tons of varieties out there, we’ve recently made it in the air fryer and I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to making it in the oven again.
I mean, I’m also super in love with my air fryer but that’s not the only reason. This recipe look less than 45 minutes to make, it was tender and delicious.
What you’ll need to make Air Fryer Meatloaf:

How to Make Meatloaf in the Air Fryer:
In a large bowl, combine everything else in recipe, EXCEPT the ketchup & parsley.
*Hands are the best tools for mixing meat loaf)
Mix it all up very well.
Cut a piece of parchment to just a little larger than size of the air fryer basket.
Shape meatloaf on parchment paper and place into air fryer basket.
Cook in air fryer at 375F for 30-40 minutes or until done. Meatloaf is done when the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. The best way to determine this is to use a an instant-read thermometer in the center of the meatloaf.
Once done, let cool 10 minutes before slicing.
When cool spread 1/2 cup of ketchup onto top of meatloaf and sprinkle with parsley.
LET THAT MEATLOAF COOL BEFORE SLICING!
Please, oh please! Let it cool before you slice into it. I say let it rest for at least 10 minutes before you slice it. This will keep it from falling apart.
Is Meatloaf better in the oven or the air fryer?
I personally like meatloaf better when it’s cooked in the air fryer UNLESS it’s in the form of mini muffin tin meatloaves and then I’m ok with Oven Meatloaf. I feel like oven meatloaf when it’s in it’s giant loaf size just dries out too much for me when it’s baked in the oven. PLUS I love that the air fryer version only takes about 30 minutes to cook.
What kind of ground meat do you use for Air Fryer Meatloaf?
I like to use a 50/50 combination of ground beef and ground turkey. However you can use any kind of ground meat that you’d like.
