We’re crazy about no churn ice cream recipes around here and if you love the southern favorite, “Butter Pecan Ice Cream”, you’re going to fall in love with this recipe too.
You won’t find a need for an ice cream machine here! This no churn ice cream recipe only needs an electric mixer and a regular freezer.

How to make Homemade Butter Pecan Ice Cream:

In a skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter.
Chop pecans into very small pieces and add to melted butter.
Stir and toast pecan pieces for 5-10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool. -
In a mixing bowl, add 2 tablespoons of super soft butter and whip until smooth.
Add in heavy cream and powdered sugar.
Mix on high with electric mixer until thick and soft peaks form.
Add in sweetened condensed milk and whisk until combined to make ice cream base. -
Stir in cooled pecans, reserving a tablespoon or two of pecans for top of ice cream.

Pour into a loaf pan and top with remaining pecans.

Freeze for several hours or overnight until frozen.

Frequently Asked Questions
You’ll need real butter to toast the pecans but you might be able to use butter extract in the ice cream. I haven’t tried it that way yet.
Sure can! It will just be butter ice cream then.
It takes about 6-8 hours to freeze no churn ice cream.
