Earlier this week I shared a recipe for Caramel Apple Crisp and if you look at some of the desserts I’ve made in the past you can tell that I love caramel desserts! So for a mid week treat, I thought that Caramel Apple Tea Cake would be perfect!
It’s like a fall version of my favorite blueberry and peach summer bread.
What you’ll need to make Caramel Apple Tea Cake:
- milk
- 1 Caramel Apple Tea bag
- butter
- white sugar
- eggs
- vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
- flour
- salt
- baking soda
- diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- Caramel sauce for serving
How to make Caramel Apple Tea Cake:
This is the tea that I used for this particular Apple Pie. I love this caramel apple tea!
Preheat oven to 350F.
Heat milk until very hot either in microwave or on the stove top. Remove from heat and add tea bag. Let tea steep in milk for 10 minutes,
While tea is steeping in milk, add butter and sugar to a mixing bowl. With an electric mixer, beat together butter and sugar until smooth.
Add in eggs. Mix until combined. Remove tea bag from milk and pour milk into butter and sugar mixture.
Add vanilla paste or extract. Mix until combined, scraping sides of bowl if needed.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking soda.
Slowly add flour mixture to wet mixture. Mix until combined.
With a spatula, stir in apple pieces. Mix well.
Pour into a prepared loaf pan that has the sides buttered or is lined with parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour.
Remove and let cool.
Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
