You only need 4 ingredients and 25 minutes of oven time to make this sweet Easy Peach Crisp! It’s perfect with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Years ago I started making apple crisps for almost every holiday or special event dinner with the family. I got the recipe from another military wife when we lived at Camp Lejeune and it quickly became a family favorite.
It’s probably the most requested dessert from my brother when we all get together.
That family favorite apple crisp is also the inspiration for this Easy Peach Crisp. You see, in the summer I love to get fresh summer peaches from the local farmer’s market. I keep an eye on the market parking lot every Saturday morning and as soon as the peach truck starts showing up, I make sure to get there extra early so that I can get my peaches before they sell out. I tell ya, those summer peaches sell out like hot cakes here.
You’ve got to get there early or you’re not getting any peaches.
I wish peach season was year round y’all. I really do. There is nothing better than a summer ripe peach!
So, since I had a ton of fresh peaches on my counter the other day I was working on some recipes to use them in. I didn’t want them to go to waste (I tend to over buy haha) and I knew I couldn’t eat them all before they turned to mush.
That’s when I decided to make this peach crisp. It makes minutes to throw together and about 20 or 25 minutes in the oven. The longest part of making this entire dessert is peeling the peaches!
Now if you can’t get fresh summer peaches, you can try canned or frozen peaches too. I haven’t made this with them but I think they would be ok. Just make sure that if you’re using canned peaches to drain them and then pat them dry first. If you’re using frozen peaches, let them thaw all the way and then pat them dry before you start making this crisp.
You don’t want your peach crisp to turn into a watery soupy mess!

Easy Peach Crisp
- 6 fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
- 1 box (9 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the chopped peaches into a deep pie dish (or cake pan).
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix and butter.
- Mix until crumbly. Add cinnamon and stir. Sprinkle mixture evenly over peaches.
- Bake 25 minutes.
