Frosted Frankenstein Brownies are perfect for boxed brownie or homemade brownies with my favorite brownie recipe. Use a bit of frosting and candy eyes to turn brownies into the cutest Halloween brownies. A great simple Halloween dessert recipe that is great for Halloween parties. Also a fun Halloween dessert to make with kids! Use store bought brownies for a quick last minute Halloween treat!
This post/recipe was created for #HalloweenTreatsWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% mine.

I don’t know why I’m in love with frosted brownies but they’re one of my favorite desserts to make for holidays. These Frosted Frankenstein Brownies are inspired by my favorite Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats.
What you’ll need to make Frosted Frankenstein Brownies:
- brownies (recipe below)
- frosting (recipe below)
- green food coloring
- black food coloring
- candy eyeballs
How to make Frosted Frankenstein Brownies:
I have the brownie recipe and a frosting recipe for y’all below.
This is how I decorate these frosted brownies.
Cut into brownies into squares. When using a 8×8 pan, I like to cut out about 6 very large brownies. However, the recipe can be doubled for a 9×13 pan to get more brownies. As the frosting recipe below will
Frost 3/4 of each brownie with green frosting. A butter knife is great for this.
Frost top of brownies with black frosting for hair.
Add candy eyes to the brownies.
Fill a plastic bag or piping bag with black frosting and add a stitched mouth and stiches.

Frosted Frankenstein Brownies
Frosted Frankenstein Brownies are perfect for boxed brownie or homemade brownies with my favorite brownie recipe. Use a bit of frosting and candy eyes to turn brownies into the cutest Halloween brownies. A great simple Halloween dessert recipe that is great for Halloween parties. Also a fun Halloween dessert to make with kids! Use store bought brownies for a quick last minute Halloween treat! Preheat oven to 325F. Line 8x8 square baking pan with parchment paper or foil with overlapping ends (this will make it easier to remove the brownies later). In a large bowl, combine the diced butter, sugar and cocoa powder. Microwave and heat for 30 seconds. Stir mixture and microwave for another 30 seconds. Let chocolate mixture cool slightly. When chocolate mixture has cooled a bit, stir in vanilla and salt. Next, stir in eggs. Mix in flour until completely incorporated. Stir in chocolate syrup. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-45 minutes until done. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Cream butter in the bowl of a mixer. Add cream cheese and mix well. Slowly add powdered sugar while mixing. Add vanilla. Whip. Add more powdered sugar for thicker icing or add a bit of milk for thinner icing. Remove 3/4 of the frosting from the bowl. Add a bit of cocoa powder and black food coloring to the frosting left in the bowl. If the frosting is chocolate then it will be easier to dye black. Dye the other frosting green. Cut into brownies into squares. Frost 3/4 of each brownie with green frosting. Frost top of brownies with black frosting for hair. Add candy eyes to the brownies. Fill a plastic bag or piping bag with black frosting and add a stitched mouth and stiches.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. One costume never does it for us! We usually have 2 or 3! Last year my daughter was Harley Quinn, Super Woman and a Unicorn!
