I think these homemade Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes are just the cutest little cupcakes ever! They’re made with a cinnamon swirl cupcake and homemade cream cheese frosting! Then I took a mini cinnamon roll from the bakery at the grocery store, cut it in half and popped it on top!
Not only do they look like Cinnamon Rolls, they taste like them too!

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt

How to make Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes:
- Make the cupcakes:

Follow the recipe in the Dixie Crystal link for the frosting recipe and directions. Don’t forget to Set aside 1/4 cup frosting before piping the remaining frosting onto the cupcakes!
- Lets Decorate!
Now it’s time to turn these awesome cupcakes into Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes!
Swirl frosting onto each cupcake.
Add mini cinnamon roll to top center of each cupcake. (Cut bottom off cinnamon roll if they are too high.)
Heat reserved frosting for 10 seconds in microwave or until just melted. You don’t want this to be too hot or it’ll melt the frosting on the cupcake! We just want it melted enough to pour.
Stir and drizzle over mini cinnamon rolls.
Optional: Sprinkle tops with a tiny dash of ground cinnamon
