How to make Red White and Blue Tie Dye Ice Cream:
Let me show you how easy it is to make ice cream at home with no ice cream maker!
How to make the No Churn Ice Cream Base:
Start by pouring the heavy whipping cream into a large mixing bowl.
Whip with a hand mixer (or stand mixer) on high speed for about 5 minutes, until stiff peaks form. Don’t forget about it and let it turn into butter! haha
Add in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract . Whip them into your stiff whipping cream. This is your ice cream base!
Adding color and sprinkles to no churn ice cream:
For this particular recipe, we’re going to be adding some food coloring to give it the swirl look.
Separate the mixture evenly into 3 separate bowls.
Add red food coloring to one bowl and blue to another. Leave the 3rd bowl white.
For the red food coloring, I personally like the red no taste gel food coloring. I think that red food coloring has a super bitter taste so I prefer the no taste option.
Add 6 to 8 drops until you achieve your desired color.
Mix well.
Drop spoonfuls of each color into a loaf pan.
Once each color is used up, use a toothpick or knife to swirl the colors to create a marbleized/tie dye look.
Freezing No Churn Ice Cream:
Add sprinkles, and freeze overnight.
I like to use metal loaf pans for freezing this ice cream, however you can use a glass loaf pan but it won’t freeze quite as nice.

Red White and Blue Tie Dye Ice Cream FAQ:
- How long does it take to freeze no churn ice cream? About 6-8 hours. I just freeze it overnight
- What kind of food coloring do you use for ice cream? Liquid or Gel will work but gel will give you nicer colors with less food coloring.
